The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including angels, fiends, and sinister influences growing in power within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

First, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death started the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could help the party access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This results in them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the players to form the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Audiences can expect learning which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
